Too Much Of A Good Thing...
I wanted to try an iPad app that I saw called, Little Story Creator. It is designed for upper elementary aged kids and is really easy to use. Here is my presentation, it will automatically advance to the next slide but the timing is not great. You can manually advance it also, with a sweep of a finger.
Also, I made a Goanimate video too, just for fun. Check it out, it was my first attempt, I really like the dancing.
Enjoy.

Jenn,
ReplyDeleteGreat presentation. I agree, we need both, and it's good to actually read a book once in a while. Although I love reading on my Kindle Fire. But the young students especially need guidance for researching the Internet and the librarian is there to keep them safe. I loved the presentation, so it allows you to export it to HTML? I loved the Goanimate video, I am going to share it with my school librarian.
Cindy
Thanks Cindy, for both presentations, I had a link that could be cut and pasted.
ReplyDeleteI go back and forth liking my ipad for reading books. As soon as I'm done with my classes, I'll actually get to read for fun again!!!
Jenn,
ReplyDeleteGreat presentation, I love the Little Story Creator app, I'll go download it right now. I also agree that we need to have a combination of virtual and traditional libraries; a media center that incorporates digital and print text, encompasses trained and knowledgable staff, and accommodates all learners.
Great presentation,
Megan
I love the dance moves in the goanimate. I might try that with my kids tomorrow. Nice job on the story. It is so cool how many tools are out there to help make digital stories. It is a combination I agree with as well. I made mention on another post that it was such an exciting day when my kids all got their library cards and got to sign their own names on them. It was like getting their drivers license. They could choose any books they wanted and bring them home. Such responsibility and learning the rules of the world!
